A California nonprofit religious corporation, built to hold pastoral and clinical care under one roof.
We were founded on the conviction that pastoral and clinical counseling were never meant to stand apart. We put both kinds of counselor in one organization so that nobody has to divide their healing from their faith. Out of that work we train the next generation of counselors.
Our work runs in three pillars. Pastoral counseling, which is soul-care ministry from trained counselors. Clinical counseling, from licensed clinicians and their supervised associates. And ministry and education, which is everything else we do.

Two kinds of counselor
People bring us grief, marriage and family struggles, anxiety and fear, parenting, life transitions, spiritual struggle, and the ordinary weight of a hard season. Both kinds of counselor sit with all of it. What differs is perspective, scope, and method.
Pastoral counseling
Soul care from a trained minister. Scripture and prayer are in the room rather than translated out of it, and the work runs toward conscience, guilt and forgiveness, calling, doubt, and formation over years. Pastoral counselors are ministers, not clinicians licensed by the State of California. They do not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions, and they work readily alongside the clinician who does. Clinical counseling
Licensed mental-health care, from licensed clinicians and from associates and trainees under supervision, within the standards their licenses set. Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment live here. See clinical counseling.
